II. INTRODUCTION
The Tanzania HIV Impact Survey 2022-2023 (THIS 2022-2023) was a household-based national survey among adults (defined as those aged 15 years and older) that measured the impact of the country’s national and regional HIV response. THIS 2022-2023, which was conducted from November 2022 through March 2023, offered HIV counseling and testing with return of results, and collected information about uptake of HIV prevention, care and treatment services.
