Australia for UNHCR is the UN Refugee Agency’s national partner in Australia, raising funds and awareness to help UNHCR deliver humanitarian relief to displaced families across the globe. Australia for UNHCR unites caring Australians – individuals, community groups and businesses – to support refugees and people displaced from their homes, families and countries by conflict and persecution. We advocate and fundraise for refugee protection, emergency aid and long-term support and solutions, helping UNHCR reach millions of displaced people each year.
Australia for UNHCR is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing life-changing humanitarian support to refugees and other displaced and stateless people who are supported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR or the UN Refugee Agency). We achieve this by raising funds for UNHCR's international humanitarian operations.
